The senior also runs track and field for the Bulldogs where he was All-State in discus his junior year.

Ben, 18, has signed with Central Michigan University. The Chippewas are coming off a 2009 season that saw them win yet another MAC Championship. Their 14-2 season earned them a bid to the GMAC Bowl in Mobile, Alabama where they won a double-overtime thriller against Troy.

Once Ben finished his senior football season at Romeo he began training at Athletic Republic (Auburn Hills) to get himself ready for the next level of competition.

“Training at Athletic Republic shows me what I need to improve on and what my strengths are. AR has helped me become faster and quicker,” said Ben. “I really enjoy getting results and working with the trainers is a blast.”

The Romeo senior got it done on the football field and in the classroom where he finished with a 3.5 GPA. He plans to study sports management at CMU this fall.

Katie Murphy - Volleyball

Katie Murphy has already established herself as one of the best high school volleyball players in the state of Michigan. The Warren Mott senior middle hitter was voted the Macomb Area Conference White Division player of the year, as well as being an All-State and Under Armor All-American nominee.

Katie, 18, has also set numerous state records including solo blocks in a season (175), solo and assisted blocks in a match (21), and solo blocks in a career (458).

The senior’s stellar high school career garnered her full ride to Samford University of the Southern Conference.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 28-5 season and a Southern Conference North Division title.

Since beginning her training at Athletic Republic (Auburn Hills) Katie has taken her already dominate game to an even higher level.

“Personally, I have become mentally tougher. Physically, I have increased my vertical, foot speed, stamina, and muscle mass,” said the 6'1'" senior.

When asked about her experience at AR, Katie replied,”I enjoy everything about Athletic Republic. The sessions are filled with intense workouts and the trainers never let you give up. I love pushing myself to the limit and with Athletic Republic I am able to do so.”

Jordan Sanders - Football

Jordan Sanders comes from a family that sets the standard for athletic achievement. His brother, Wayne, is a starting linebacker at Saginaw Valley State University. His sister, Mary Jo, is a professional boxer. His oldest brother, Charlie, was a running back at Ohio State and later the Detroit Lions. Oh, and don’t forget his dad, Charlie Sr., who played tight end for the Lions from 1968-1977. During his ten seasons in Detroit, Sanders was elected to the Pro Bowl seven times. After he retired, he was named to the 1970s All-Decade Team and was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2008.

Needless to say, Jordan’s family sets the bar pretty high.

But Jordan isn’t too bad himself.

The 6-2, 275 pound senior plays offensive and defensive line for Rochester Adams High School.

The Adams standout finished his senior season with 49 tackles, six sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception return for a touchdown for the Highlanders.

Jordan’s solid senior campaign saw him garner an Oakland Activities Association (OAA) White Division All-Conference selection and an All-State selection. He was also a part of the All-State Dream Team top-24.

The All-State defensive tackle will suit up for Michigan State University this fall. He joins a Spartan team coming off a 6-7 season (4-4 in the BIG 10). MSU opens the 2010 season against Western Michigan at Spartan Stadium.

Jordan has been training at Athletic Republic (Auburn Hills) for just over a full year.

“Personally, Athletic Republic has helped me push past what I thought were my limits,” said Jordan. “Athletically, AR has tremendously improved my quickness and strength, especially in the areas most needed for my position.”

Jordan has continued to work hard over the summer in preparation for football camp.

“My favorite part of the workout is at the end of speed training when I get to see how fast I can run on the treadmill,” said the future Spartan D-lineman.

Jordan plans to study business this fall in East Lansing.

“I love how personable the trainers are,” said Madison. “They encourage you and don’t make you feel bad if you are struggling.”

The Beverly Hills native plans to train at AR throughout the summer to prepare for her first season in the Big Ten.

Madison plans to pursue a pre-medical degree at Michigan State in the fall. When she’s not on the basketball court or training at Athletic Republic, Madison enjoys tutoring, reading, painting, and watching movies.

The standout’s high school career culminated with her being selected as the 2009 Miss Volleyball for the state of Michigan.

Alex decided to take her talents to the University of Akron. She will join a solid incoming class for the Zips who kick off their 2010 season at the West Virginia Classic. Akron finished the 2009 season 14-18 overall and 5-11 in Mid-American Conference play.
